2025 CREA8 SUSTAINABILITY COMPETITION

The 2025 Crea8 Sustainability Competition invites young minds to channel their creativity and innovation under the theme “ReMake/RePlay: Upcycling for a Better World.” This year, participants will explore the transformative power of upcycling, turning waste into resources and reimagining discarded materials into new and purposeful games, daily necessity objects and wearable fashion.

The competition encourages students to think critically about sustainability, embrace the concept of circular living, and contribute actionable solutions for a greener, more resourceful future.

Calling all inspiring young game creators ! The Primary Level Competition is your chance to turn recycled materials into a one-of-a-kind game piece  or invent a brand-new board or card game inspired by sustainability. From exploring ways to save the planet to sharing tips on eco-friendly living, your game can spark fun and learning all at once. Dive into this exciting challenge and show how your ideas can bring sustainability to life through play!

The competition is divided into two categories:

For Lower Primary
Upcycled game piece 

For Upper Primary
Sustainability-themed board or card game

LOWER PRIMARY CATEGORY
(Primary 1 to Primary 3)

Transform waste into wonder by creating a unique game piece from recycled materials. This challenge encourages you to think creatively and give discarded items a new purpose. Whether it’s turning bottle caps into colourful tokens or using cardboard to craft imaginative shapes, your recycled game piece can showcase how fun and sustainability go hand in hand.

UPPER PRIMARY CATEGORY
(Primary 4 to Primary 6)

Reimagine your favorite board or card game with a sustainability twist! Give classic gameplay a fresh purpose by incorporating themes like recycling, renewable energy, or protecting biodiversity. Whether it’s turning Monopoly into a race to build green cities or adapting Uno to teach waste management, your creativity can transform familiar fun into an exciting way to inspire eco-awareness. Show us how you can make every move matter for the planet!

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

  • A short write-up of the game in 200 words or less.
  • A photographed image of the game piece or sustainability-themed game board/card game.
  • Clear and concise Player Instruction Guide to explain about the game created and how it is played.
