The theme for the competition this year will be “Green our Red Dot”. The primary level competition aims to encourage students to create a drawing or 2D artwork from recycling waste showcasing their vision of what a sustainable Singapore will be like in the near future while the secondary level competition challenges students to come up with a product or item that will benefit or contribute to a local community.
All students studying in Singapore in either a MOE school and international educational institutions; and homeschoolers are eligible to participate.
For Primary level, the student is required to submit either a drawing or a 2D artwork comprising of recycled materials depicting their vision of how a sustainable Singapore may be like in the near future. The 2D artwork must consist of elements from recycled materials . The art piece must be an original creation by the participant. Further details can be found in the competition rules.
For Secondary level, the student(s) is/are required to submit either a video presentation of 1 to 1.5 minutes or a presentation on the product/item they have come up with which will benefit or contribute to a local community. The product/item must comprise minimum 90% waste/recycled materials. The video presentation/presentation must address the following:
- Introduction and description of product/item
- The community group that the product/item is for
- How the product/item will be used
- Benefits to the identified community group; and
- Photograph of the original product/item for submission

All submissions should be made via the online registration portal www.crea8sustainability.sg/2022competition/registration.
No, multiple entries per student or group (applicable for secondary level competition only) are not permitted. Each student/group is only allowed to submit one (1) entry.
Entries must be submitted via the online submission portal www.crea8sustainability.sg/2022competition/registration by the closing at 11.59pm on 29 April 2021. Special exemptions may be granted on a case-by-case basis after review by the Crea8 Sustainability organising committee.
All entries must be submitted electronically via the online registration portal.
Selected winners of the Competition will be required to submit their original work by 6 June 2022 for display at the awards ceremony.

All winners will be notified via email by 3 June 2022.
The judging panel will comprise of representatives from both PacificLight Power Pte Ltd and its supporting partners. The judges’ decision is final.

1st prize – Trophy and $150 book vouchers
2nd prize – Trophy and $100 book vouchers
3rd prize – Trophy and $75 book vouchers

Category: Secondary (Lower and Upper Secondary respectively)
1st prize – Trophy and $300 book vouchers
2nd prize – Trophy and $250 book vouchers
3rd prize – Trophy and $150 book vouchers
$100 book vouchers each x 2 Merit Winners
The award ceremony will be held in Q3 2022. Details of the ceremony will be provided to the competition winners closer to the date.
By entering the PacificLight 2022 Crea8 Sustainability Competition, you permit us to use and reproduce your submission. Original submissions will be returned by November 2022 where a return address has been provided.
Yes, any primary or secondary student studying in Singapore may participate in the 2022 competition.
