Crea8 Sustainability Competition

The theme for the competition this year for both Primary and Secondary level will be to Re-create, Re-cycle and Re-purpose.

Children who are currently attending MOE schools and local international schools or are home-schooled, are eligible to participate.

For both Primary and Secondary level, the student is required to either make an upcycled item from unwanted waste material or create an art piece from waste material. The upcycled product or art piece must be an original creation by the participant, whereby at least 90% of the finished product must be made from waste materials.  Participants are not permitted to use in excess of 10% new materials to create the art piece or upcycled product. Further details can be found in the competition rules.

All submissions should be made via the online registration portal www.crea8sustainability.sg/2021competition/registration.  

No, multiple entries per student or group (applicable for secondary level competition only) are not permitted. Each student/group is only allowed to submit one (1) entry.

Entries must be submitted via the online submission portal www.crea8sustainability.sg/2021competition/registration by the closing at 11.59pm on 26 March 2021. Special exemptions may be granted on a case-by-case basis after review by the Crea8 Sustainability organising committee.

All entries must be submitted electronically via the online registration portal.

Selected winners of the Competition will be required to submit their original work by 7 May 2021 for display at the awards ceremony.

All winners will be notified via email by 20 April 2021.

 The judging panel will comprise of representatives from both PacificLight Power Pte Ltd and its supporting partners. The judges’ decision is final.

Category: Primary (Lower and Upper Primary respectively)

1st prize – Trophy and $150 book vouchers

2nd prize – Trophy and $100 book vouchers

3rd prize – Trophy and $75 book vouchers

$50 book vouchers each x 3 Merit Winners

Category: Secondary (Lower and Upper Secondary respectively)

1st prize – Trophy and $200 book vouchers

2nd prize – Trophy and $150 book vouchers

3rd prize – Trophy and $100 book vouchers

 

The award ceremony will be held in Q2 2021. Details of the ceremony will be provided to the competition winners closer to the date.

By entering the PacificLight 2021 Crea8 Sustainability Competition, you permit us to use and reproduce your submission. Original submissions will be returned by 30 November 2021 where a return address has been provided.
