The overall theme for this year’s competition is “Zero Waste”. The respective competitions sub themes are:
- Primary School Poster Design Competition – “How can we reduce waste”
- Secondary School Animation Video Competition – “Why should we aim for zero waste?”
- Tertiary Videography Competition – “How to overcome the challenges of a zero waste lifestyle?”
The poster piece must be drawn on a standard drawing block, A3 size, in portrait format. The drawing and colouring can be completed using colour pencils, water colours/poster colours, crayons or oil pastels.
The video shall be a minimum of 90 seconds and a maximum of 3 minutes. The video shall be uploaded on Youtube and set as “unlisted” so that it is not viewable by the general public. The video should remain as “unlisted” until the winners have been announced in August 2019.
All submissions should be done via the relevant online registration portal for each competition via www.crea8sustainability.sg/2019competition/registration

No, multiple entries are not allowed. Each student is only permitted to submit one (1) entry.
No extensions will be permitted. Entries must be submitted online by the closing date.
All entries must be submitted via the online registration portal.
Only selected winners of the poster design competition will be required to submit the original hard copy of their poster artwork by 12 August 2019 to our corporate office for display at the awards ceremony:

All winners and merit winners will be notified via email by 1 August 2019.
A panel of judges will comprise of representatives from both PacificLight Power Pte Ltd and its supporting partners. The judges’ decision is final.
Prizes will be awarded to the winners as follows:
Poster Design Competition (Two categories – lower and upper primary)
1st prize – Trophy and $150 book vouchers
2nd prize – Trophy and $100 book vouchers
3rd prize – Trophy and $75 book vouchers
There will also be $50 book vouchers awarded to 6 merit winners.
Animation Video Competition (Two categories – lower and upper secondary)
1st prize – Trophy and $200 book vouchers
2nd prize – Trophy and $150 book vouchers
3rd prize – Trophy and $100 book vouchers
1st prize – Trophy and $400 retail vouchers
2nd prize – Trophy and $300 retail vouchers
3rd prize – Trophy and $200 retail vouchers
The prize presentation ceremony will likely be held in November 2019, at the 2019 Clean & Green Carnival. Further details will be provided to winners at a later date.
By entering the PacificLight 2019 Crea8 Sustainability Poster Design Competition, you permit us to use and reproduce your artwork. Artwork from the poster design competition will be returned by 31 December 2019 provided a return address has been given.
Yes, any student studying in Singapore may participate in the 2019 competition.
The 2019 Crea8 Sustainability Competition is open to all students studying in Singapore including students studying at MOE schools and International Schools.
